- Psalter: Week 1
First Sunday of Advent
Reflection
The Word of God is alive and
active. It reminds us what He has
done for us in the past, speaks to
us in the present and reveals to us
His plan for our future. In Advent,
as we recall once again the great
saving deeds of our God, we pray to
him to help us in our turn and to
enable us to stand ready for his call
in the future. We trust always in
his promise of salvation.

MEMORY TREE OF LIGHTS FOR
THOSE BEREAVED BY SUICIDE
The Northwest Bereaved by Suicide
Support Group are organising a Memory
Tree of Lights event on Sunday 9th
December 2007 at 5.30pm at the Foyle
Search & Rescue Headquarters,
Victoria Road, Derry. The purpose
of the event is to remember loved
ones lost to suicide and to support
family and friends during the holiday
season, which can be an especially
difficult time. A simultaneous event
is being held in Newfoundland, Canada
with a bereavement group who has developed
links with the Northwest Group. The
Northwest Bereaved by Suicide Support
Group meet the first and third Monday
of the month in Foyle Search and Rescue
Headquarters at 7.30pm.
Grief associated with bereavement
by suicide is unique. The coming together
of those similarly bereaved, regardless
of when the death occurred, can provide
the opportunity to be with other people
who can really understand. They have
been through the same experience and
can offer the opportunity to gain
strength and understanding from the
individuals within the group.
Blood Transfusion Service
will be in Omagh College on Wed, Thurs,

1.30pm-4pm & 5.30pm 8pm.
