Parish News
(Vol .32 No 13) - 6th April 2008
Third Sunday of Easter
Reflection
On the road to Eammaus, the disciples
were slow to recognize Jesus or understand
why he had to die and rise from the
dead. Jesus explained the scriptures
to them and they then recognized him
in the breaking of bread. Our celebration
of the Eucharist reflects their experience.
We listen with open hearts to the
scriptures, we hear Jesus speak to
us, and we recognize and receive him
in the bread which is his Body.

Eucharistic
Ministers for Tyrone County Hospital
Fr. Sweeney is looking to recruit
a number of parishioners to become
Eucharistic Ministers to the Tyrone
County Hospital for Sunday mornings.
This is an urgent appeal. Without
new ministers, those in hospital will
not receive a visit, and will be unable
to receive Holy Communion. Maybe you
were once on the staff of the hospital,
would you like to help out? Perhaps
you have been thinking about this
for a long time, but were afraid to
ask, now is the time. This is a
great ministry to those in need. They
need you. Do you hear that call? Is
God calling to you? Doubt no longer
but believe. Contact Fr. Gerry at
8224 7440, or email to gerry@cappaghparish.com
or leave a message at the office with
contact details.
Divine Mercy
Group will meet on the first
Sunday of each month from 3-4pm in
the Cappagh Parish Centre. All are
welcome to join us in this Community
Prayer.
